Help with sizing wallpaper

I tried making my wallpaper a glass of scotch on the rocks.
But it was stretched way out of proportion.
How can I make it fit my phone screen. I've tried. Everything from launchers to Photoshop.
but it still is stretched.
Is there anyway I can make it fit. Please help, I've been trying to get it to work for over. 2 hours.
My phone is the samsung optimus s, if that matters.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I just tried a few of the wallpapers on here, and all of them had the same problem. So if anyone has a solution, please let me know.

Just wondering if the issue is caused by the difference I'm resolution of the wallpapers and your phone's screen? The phone might try to squish the pics to fit your screen.

That app may intelligently scale the images, maintaining proportions.
