Update has my Droid all screwy

Hey, my phone automatically downloaded a system update the other day. Since then, the alert tones for texts and email won't sound, my USB connection doesn't last more than a few seconds on my computer, all my saved texts have been wiped out and a few other choice annoyances. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

I'm a very casual smartphone user and I'd rather not do anything that could potentially harm my phone further.

Cagney I'm assuming your droid is stock? I'd take it in to Verizon and get a new one. to the forum!

Ok...I might sound like a moron here but...does "stock" mean the first wave of Droids? If so, I did get mine when they first came out.

Well I meant you haven't rooted right? Apparently some droids are having the same problem you have when they get the update.

Right, I've never rooted it. It's just odd in that the speakers work fine. My ringtone and alarms and music all work fine.

I guess a factory reset might be in order.
