D1 dials criket
I bought a D1 that had been rooted for cricket. I got it flashed back to factory, but, when i dial *228 to program it still dials criket.
I was told that i needed to flash the antenna or gsm rom ?? or something like that. I got on the phone with verizon tech and they tried everything to make it dail verizon and it wouldnt work.
I tried a factory reset.. that didnt work either.
Any ideas on how to fix this ?? thank you.

Have you flashed it with an SBF file? If not that is most likely what you need to do.
Thunderbolt
CM7 Pre-Alpha
Good bye MOTO

I'm going to go with what hemorrdroid said and suggest you use a stock SBF file to get your phone back to working order. If you wish to root after that we'd be happy to help.
There is no GSM ROM for a Droid as the antenna simply wouldn't work, and there's no such thing as an antenna ROM. There's a radio file for the HTC phones, but that doesn't apply to a Motorola phone.
