So. My phone doesn't connect to anything anymore

The last couple weeks, my 3g has become spotty (to say the least). It would occasionally drop down to 2 or 1 bars, sometimes lose 3g altogether and leave me staring at a 1x symbol. This week, it has failed to work at all. That's 4 solid days, no 3g. Worse part is, I'm now connected to my wifi, full bars all the time. 90% of the time it won't connect. Not to Facebook, not to Gmail,not to Wordfeud, not to Market, not to anything.

I don't move around, or go to places where 3g could be compromised, and have always had perfect 3g right here in my bedroom. My wireless adapter is 1 thin wall over, and I'll repeat, I HAVE FULL WIFI BARS AND IT STILL DOESN'T CONNECT TO ANYTHING. I haven't gotten any new apps in over a month, and I'm still running the first ShadowRom that has never had any connectivity issues until all of a sudden (so don't tell me it's an app doing this)

I've tried asking billy himself, but he tends to ignore live people. So here I am, asking all you guys, what the hell is wrong with my phone???

What kernel are you using? When did you last reboot your phone?

My DX did the same thing four days after I bought it. I took it back to Verizon and they worked on it for an hour, called tech support and everything. Did not get it to connect to 3g so they gave me a new DX. They had no idea what was wrong with it.

Stock kernal, rebooted several times since I started having connection issues. I know back in May or June, Ultimate Droid rom had some issues, ended up being something about the baseband? But that was with an updated version of the rom.. Didn't happen a month in with no prior problems...

Looks like this is happening quite randomly, across multiple roms. The solution seems to be battery pull while phone is on, then once its back on go to airplane mode. once out of airplane mode things *should* be fine.
