Hello Rescue Squad.
I don't need rescue (or maybe I do), but was wondering....can the SD card be "defragged", like a hard drive on a PC. Or, alternately, is there any need to do it even? and if so How?

Nope, something like a defrag is never needed. If you ever have sd card issues like files not reading properly, slow speeds, or corruption a reformat MAY fix the problem, and if so only temporarily.
Ok. Thanks for the info. I dont have any problems, just was wondering if it was possible or not.![]()
Defrag is meant for horizontally and perpendicular recording HDDs because the needle is just throwing data on there when it's written to the drive. So data for one program is written all over the platter. With an sdcard, theres no spinning disk, so it generally places the data in "order."
