Requesting a simple walkthrough/advice

Hello, I rooted my phone back in June so that I could install Barnacle. But now I think its time I finally updated from 2.1 update 1. I have SPRecovery with a unrooted backup of 2.1

What should be my next step? Install the unrooted 2.1 OS I would assume. Then I need a new OS; the ONLY things I do with my phone besides phone calls and the web are taking notes, Pandora, and most importantly wifi tethering. So what is the most simple, quick and stable OS to download and how do I go about doing this again?

Hi Dave…..I tried to help but I'm not certain and I don't want to mess you up, so I'm putting you over here.

Take a look in the Rescue Squad section at the Guides they have available. You might find something you can use.

If not post up again for some help in this thread.
