Got my RAZR 2 months ago and it's been fine...last night went to sleep with it plugged in as usual, woke up it was off. Tried to turn it on, no dice. No white LED (battery too low), no LED at all, screen doesn't flash anything, the phone acts like it has no battery.
I searched a lot in these forums, tried the power + volume down for 10-20 seconds, volume up+power, volume down AND up +power, nothing works.
I took it to VZW they said it is covered under warranty so they sent me a new one will be here tommorow.
My issue is all the pictures and data on the internal memory. It's not deathly important but there are a lot of pictures that I'm sure certain ex gf's wouldn't want the nice Motorola techs seeing if they can ever get it turned on back at the factory, if you know what I mean.
In a last ditch attempt, I took the back cover off and checked the battery at the terminals (under the pink cap) and got 3.66v, so the battery definitely isn't dead/the issue.
So I guess my questions are...will the techs that refurbish my old phone see all the pictures and data on it or are they required to wipe it without looking? Also, I have a week to send the old one back once the new one arrives tomorrow....is there anything else I can try to do to get my pics/data off of it short of ripping the memory off the motherboard and recovering it through a recovery service?
