Does anyone know of a way to change 1 of the options on the unlock screen? What I would like to do is change the text option to be an option for the browser.

ICS Lockscreen App shortcuts.. can you change them?
Outside of using a third party lockscreen (I use and highly recommend WidgetLocker), it doesn't look like you can. It appears to use whatever the default app is for the phone, text messaging, and camera.

Good question. I would like to know if this is a possibility with ICS also.
I disabled the stock messaging app, and Handcent shows up on my lock screen
Yep. The default app for dialer, text messaging, and camera will show up on the lockscreen. Unless you already have a different app set as the default, the stock applications for those three tasks will be used. Once you set a different app as the default app (and disabling a stock app will make a third-party app the default app), that's what will show up on the lockscreen.

I disabled the stock messaging app and handcent appeared on my lock screen, but I couldn't send or receive texts, and it disappeared from the bottom of the home screen, so I enabled it and it's still gone from the home screen
Second the recommendation of WidgetLocker... and if you are rooted (although this is not necessary), you can enable the root options which make its handling of overriding the stock lock screen even more seamless.
Go to apps soft touch then select widgets and scroll until you see handcent then press and hold then drag to your main screen and place it where text used to be.....Originally Posted by bassmankc
