To your exact question, the Razr is a great phone. The Razr Maxx is simply a Razr that will get through the day for most heavier users. These days defining a light-moderate-heavy user is anybody's guess.
That is like me having a conversation with my Four(4) teenagers about what is an acceptable number of hours spent playing C.O.D. in any given day, the negotiation started at 4 and 17 hours respectively.
Bottom line: You can not go wrong with either the Razr or the Razr Maxx, IMO I have "Bit" on deals and was left wondering why did I think the rather insignificant $$ impact was worth the far more considerable daily impact (for two years in this case) whether that would be the case for you relative to your "pocket miracle" - only you can know. IF in doubt, err on the side of spending the $$ you will not be sorry. The other way, you won't pat yourself on the back for two years about $$ long ago spent on Gummy Bears and toilet paper.
