Needing some advice! We bought my 12 year old son a RAZR on 05-07-12 at Wal-Mart, at 4pm we gave him the phone by 6pm he went to hand me the phone to call verizon and put insurance on it and literally dropped it about 3 ft face first on the floor. Picked up the phone and the screen was shattered! At the same time my husband was on his way to pick up the otter box (which it is in ) less than 24 hours after purchasing the phone. I called Motorola and Verizon and they tell me there is nothing they can do for it. I have called the only 2 places in town where you can have the glass fixed and they want 350 to replace the screen. The main reason we got the phone was for the gorilla glass and protective backing. The lady we spoke to at Verizon told us it can be dropped and was promotting the Gorilla Glass like it was indestructable ( which unfortunatly she was fired prior to buying the phone ). Looking for any suggestions?
I thought that maybe Motorola would stand beside the phone and at least help replace the screen, but they won't! All they keep saying is I am trying to get a new phone out of the deal, but honestly I just want the screen repaired by someone who knows what they are doing and will not charge more than the phone is worth!
