About LinkBacksWell if it is the official ICS for the RAZR data issues should be better. Data works...just have to jump thru hoops to enable it. I havent ran any ICS ROMs on my RAZR, just going by what I've read.
Would be interesting if its the official ICS update. Might flash it once the dust settles.

i am rooted and have a lot of bloatware frozen using tbu
what exactly do i have to do to my phone before i get the update?
will just defrosting all the bloat be sufficient or do i have to unroot? -

03-31-2012 02:07 PMHere is what Motorola says is required for you to get a successful download and install of any OTA update or upgrade (ICS). The phone must be completely stock...no root, no frozen apps, no missing apps (apps that you could not delete through the stock manage applications menu) and no backups created with root and you must be on .173 (the latest OTA update). If you are rooted you can download and install/run voodoo root keeper, then unroot and comply with with the other Motorola requirements. No one really knows for sure if that will allow you to keep root or not with this upcoming update...time will tell. I recommend you unfreeze apps, replace anything you deleted/renamed or moved, delete superuser and titanium backup, safestrap or bootstrap and any other associated app for root and unroot. 03-31-2012 02:43 PMMy maxx is now rock solid. Had some lag issues... but that's resolved. Data connectivity is and has been pretty stable... the network is the only thing slowing my phone down.

03-31-2012 03:27 PMYea...I would just wait. We waited all this time....whats a few more days? Nice to see Moto letting ICS shine thru looking at screen shots someone posted. I like that it still has the app drawer categories. I hope it has T9 dialing. Overall I really like what it looks like.
