How would I as an android user "boycott google"?

I could stay off their search engine and youtube on my PC. Delete youtube and google cookies.

Are there any other cookies or domain names one could exclude that you know of?

But on our Android phone's they are still collecting our private data to some extent right?

Why on earth would you want to boycott Google? Weirdo. That said, you don't have to sync any accounts with Google. You can have no GMail, GTalk, GVoice, GMaps, etc. But then why have an Android? You can get a rock that does that.

My advice is to get a phone by [insert your favourite tech giant here]. They'll still collect anonymous metrics on you, but you'll feel better about it. Why anyone would feel better about MicroSoft or Apple collecting data on them but not Google is beyond me, though.

You want to boycott Google and still be an Android user??? Why not just become a former Android user??? Can't have much more of a boycott that that.

    I'm an unapologetic Google fanboy.

I even wrote a blog piece as to why I feel this way. If you're dorky enough and have some time on your hands, give it a gander:

I'm a Google fan, but if you want to How to Ungoogle Yourself will get you started. Btw, I found that link by using Google, so if you're a purist, I wouldn't click on it.
