Battery life
I have the razr1 and have low battery life as we all know. My question is this, i was told to get juice defender ultimate. Does thus app work good for the razr and is it worth the money for it. If it is good, im gonna get it but wanted to get y'alls feedback first. Thanks.

What do you define as low battery life? Most Razr owners that have posted get 12-14 hours with normal use. Not sure you will get much more than that without an extended battery on any other phone or the Maxx.

I would just use the included task manager to shut down apps not in use.
My Razr lasts all day with Smart Actions.
i.e. within range of home Wi-Fi, turn off cellular data, volume at 100% and GPS off. When I'm at home I know where I am. Well, most of the time.
within range of work Wi-Fi, turn off cellular data, GPS and turn volume and brightness down to 20%~30%.
I've heard good and bad things about JD. Not sure what to believe but currently I have it uninstalled. While JD offers much more in terms of flexibility, I'm finding Smart Actions get me through the day. Hopefully they add many more parameters for triggers and actions as time goes on.
You're not using SCREEBL by any chance? I found removing it definitely made a difference.

I love JD Ultimate. The flexibility, ease of configuration and plethora of options all make it well worth $5 imho. I'm at 14 hrs and 77% right now. Admittedly some of that is sleep time but there's a lot of screen on and use time as well.

On a personal note I don't like to use JD had some bad experiences on my previous Doids but since the introduction of Smart Actions I haven't really needed it... I'm a moderate user so that is prenty sufficient to me..!!

Thanks for all the feedback y'all. Think i will try smart actions, unless someone explains to me why not to. Thanks again for the feedback.

After doing some research, most will tell you Juice Defender, and the like battery savers, will only consume RAM and take more "juice" than they are worth. I don't have any of those "juice saving" apps and am getting an average of 20 hrs. between charges on my RAZR. You just need to utilize the Smart Actions and Task manager...additionally, evaluate what widgets you really need to have running and how often they update. After owning the RAZR, from shortly after it's release, I am a firm believer that you can tweak your phone, using stock applications to get a decent battery life. "Decent" considering you have a newer Android based phone...since most Android phones (dual-core, etc. etc.) use more battery by nature. I do have an external battery (New Trent 5000 mAh) that I use and find somewhat convenient (not having to be "tethered" to a wall outlet).

Frankly IMHO, there's nothing earth-shattering here.
