Is it possible to NOT receive a call when you're already on one?

They used to call this a "busy signal," and I may be betraying my age, but I wish I could put one on my phone. If I'm already on a call, I don't want another call to ring in and beep and distract me (it also seems to break up the person talking on the other end). I'd rather find out about it after my original phone call ends. Is it possible to have a busy signal sent to a calling phone while I am on a call which tells them I am busy and NOT buzz me while I'm trying to listen to and be attentive to the person I'm already talking to? Or if not, can I tell my phone to simply ignore an incoming call while I'm on a call already and let me see if after I get off that call as a missed call?
Is there an app for that?

Sorry if this has been addressed before, I did multiple searches and came up empty. It's possible I'm the only person in America who wants this feature!

You might call up Verizon and ask if they can diasble call waiting on your account.
