So anyway, the RAZR was delivered at lunch today and so far, i'm VERY impressed. There are some oddities (such as it requiring a restart to quit roaming 2 different times) but the car dock, smart actions, and Motocast have FAR exceeded my expectations. Also the internet radio is surprisingly decent! Smart actions are incredible. I love how by triggering the car dock, I can initiate GPS, Bluetooth, AND send an reply message to folks, letting them know i am driving. This is the type of stuff that I wanted to do on the iPhone, but it would require multiple steps and running multiple apps. Now, we will see about battery life, but so far, its better than my Pre and Pixi were which is enough to get through the day. Its nice to know that if I need more, the MAXX battery is available...

Anyway, I will be lurking and posting when things are relevant from now on!
Hello and welcome...congrats on the Razr!!

Jump in & enjoy, ask questions when ya have them!

I bought myself and the wife our first smart phones on Saturday, we bought the Droid Razr, so far I love it. It is nice to have the world at my fingertips and being able to look up whatever I want. I live in a 3G city and work in a 4G city, should I just turn off the 4G when I am at home to extend battery life?

Congrats to you too. Bought the wife and me RAZRs in November/December and we also love them. To conserver battery at home you could cut 4G off, but to really save, turn WIFI on at home and you'll not only get the longer battery life, but you'll also get a bump in download speeds! If you don't have a wireless router, consider investing in one. You'll be glad you did.

I do have wireless at home, and already have it set-up. Probably won't use phone at home that much for internet, already have laptop computer for that

Then you'll want to download and install Verizon WIFI Auto-On and configure it to activate your WIFI for you when you are in a location where WIFI is available...even work where right now you get 4G.

Just got mine yesterday. Sadly the first hour I had it, I realized that no one could hear me making calls, so I had to go back and get it replaced, which is very odd. But nonetheless I definitely like how fast it is compared to the Droid 2 I had-slower than a turtle. I like the design and feel of the phone also, touch screen is right on and overall I am really enjoying it and showing it off haha
