Touch buttons are dead!

Unfortunately I dropped for a second my Razr Maxx in a sink, in an instant turned it off, wiped it and left it for 48 hrs in a rice bowl. Then turned it on, works perfectly, no lags, but those 4 touch buttons at the bottom of the screen are unresponsive. They are lighted but dead, the worst part is I can't use backspace, the only way to get back to the desktop is to restart the phone. Is there any combination that would replace the backspace or home button at least? I've already bought a S3 Samsung but I still miss my beloved Maxx!

To effectively completely dry the phone, you need to carefully remove the back, then the two screws on the battery connection.
Then remove the battery and put the phone in a bowl of rice and leave it for a few days.
It may revive, it may not. But it won't hurt to try.

You can always download a copy of cm10 and use the onscreen buttons!!
