Is my phone updating automatically?

In the right hand corner of my phone a list of items is shown...

com.android phone
com.zector
kworker/u.9
com.motorola.blur.home
surfacelinger
system_server
com.vzw.hss.myverizon

and the list goes on and on.

Is this a normal process?

You're probably not getting a response since you posted this in the RAZR HD section, and that phone hasn't been released yet. There won't be many people in this forum quite yet.

Somehow you've enabled a setting in the developer options that shows the CPU usage. It's not doing any updating, nor should you be worried about it negatively impacting your phone. It's just a feature for developers so they can see what the CPU is using at any given time. Go to Settings -> Developer options -> and look for a setting that's titled "Show CPU usage" (I can't remember if that's exactly what it's labeled as on the RAZR, but it should be something similar to that). Make sure it's unchecked. Unless you're a developer, there's really nothing in the Developer Options that you should have checked unless you're doing something specific (except maybe for USB debugging depending on your usage).
