can you somehow adjust how sensitive the touch is, I'm still having a hard time especially texting
This is a known problem. I don't there's a way to adjust it, but i would expect to see it addressed in a future update. Also is it acting up more while plugged in? There is a way to improve your situation, i had the same problem.
I use jelly bean btw
Settings -> accessibility -> tap and hold delay.

Also adding a screen protector will slightly reduce sensitivity. I use the ZAGG screen protector, and find it makes the sensitivity just right.
