This happened yesterday while I was Mobile, so I didn't have a way to grab a full page screen shot, but thanks to JSM9872, he grabbed it for me (see below).
Oh, and by the way JSM9872 ALSO hit an even bigger milestone...10,000 posts on the 27th (the day before mine!) How about a round of applause for him!
We both owe it all to you here, and to all the other members in the time since we joined as well. We often hit milestones but don't take notice and although it may mean something to you personally, unless you share your personal level of pride in those milestones with others, they may seem far less important.
The thing I am most proud of is the number of likes I've received. This is really the only way anyone coming in as a newbie has to gauge how well the forum receives them, how helpful they've been to others, how much people appreciate all the work they do, and ultimately how helpful they can expect you'll be for their situation. Sure, there are likes for other reasons as well...a crack here, a poke there, a joke when appropriate, or even a word or two of wisdom or suggestion of self-control to a wayward or angry poster, but the bulk of likes for most come from people who were frustrated and needed help, and you were there to help them in their time of need.
I don't know if there is another member with over 1,000 likes here on the forum, though there are members who were here long before me, and who were helping people before the "Likes" system was in place (like JSM9872), and so they've "missed out" on all those past potential "Likes" and that puts me at perhaps an unfair advantage. This is why I wish to recognize ALL the contributors to this forum...whether it was ONE post to help someone, or if you are - like me, constantly looking to see who you can help get back onto the path to Droid happiness. It's all the same.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. No religion needed, that's just plain GOOD SENSE. Whether it's "Karma
", "Paying it forward
", "The Butterfly Effect
", however you wish to categorize it, the result is the same. The more you do to help others, the more others will appreciate you, and then there's the bonus...they'll be more likely inclined to help others with the knowledge and support you gave to them. Geez, if we keep this up, we might actually end both war and poverty. But I digress.
Thank you, everyone for being part of this great community and for your support. It's YOU (not me) that makes this community what it is, and for that, I BOW TO YOU!!
