I've read everywhere the RAZR has 16 gigs of internal storage but mine tells it only has 8. Also I read ram was 1gig and mine tells me I'm using 351mb and that I have 353 available. I'm a little confused by this.

The phone does have 16GB of storage. See below:

It's come to our attention that although Motorola is marketing this device as having 16GB of internal storage, it may not appear this way to buyers. When checking the internal storage it will show that only 8GB are available, and here is the explanation on this from Motorola:

-There is 16gb internal memory

-5.5gb is used for the os and for the lapdock application.

-2.5gb is reserved for apps and

-The other 8gb is user accessible

Sorry, double-post. As for the 1GB versus the numbers you showed, there must be a valid reason. It's likely that again there is a portion reserved for system purposes, but I am just speculating.
