They have their own forum site droid HIVE and they've updated the ROM 3 times in the last 4 days, you have to manually download the updates from the site but it's totally worth it. Ice Cream Sandwich on the RAZR. IMO DroidTh3ory is the best dev out there. (strictly my opinion, and I love this site (droidforums) i've checked it daily for the past 2 1/2 years. Not trying to endorse other forums but that's where DroidTh3ory Dhacker and Hashcode post their innovative work at).

Hey this is a very noob question but, does the deveolper update these roms? If so where can I find the update? Does it come to the phone? If I can just download it. Do I download and flash it to my phone like I would a new rom. Again sorry about the nooby question, and your help is very appreciated. Thank You

We'll forgive you for you noobieness.... this time. Developers usually post when there is an update. Then you go to the opening post (OP) to download the updated file. Just read, read and read some more.

Look forward to your first rom and I promise I'll never ask you for an update.

I have flashed tons of roms maybe 3 a day for a while I really wanted smooth so turns out the phone wasn't up to par with the Maxx.
My question is it says FLASH USING BOOT STRAP OR SAFE STRAP. YES... EVEN FOR UPDATE.
What is Boot Strap or Safe Strap that makes 0 sense to me.

Oh as well are the droid Razr and Razr Maxx interchangeable in regards to roms etc..

Safestrap and Bootstrap are our recovery access systems since we have locked bootloaders...Guidot has a nice write on Safestrap here - Safestrap Guide for RAZR

There is really not a guide for Bootstrap, but you can find the download here - http://www.droidforums.net/forum/nit...-2-8-12-a.html

Only use one or the other - DO NOT put both on your phone and try to use both at the same time...

Yes, same phone just different battery - so ROMs will work on both.

Okay that's what I thought about the razor and maxx as well why is the boot loader locked is it just this phone or?

All of the moto phone's are locked except the D1... ...so the dev community found a way around it and we can flash custom ROMs but we don't have access to the kernels and such...
