ics coming soon for razr?

Can anyone tell me what the difference between ics and gingerbread really is?

Think about Windows XP vs. Windows Vista vs. Windows 7

They are all somewhat the same, yet at the same time quite different. Same thing here. ICS is the 4.0 version of Android, GB was 2.3 - much like newer versions of Windows, features are added; old bugs are fixed, and new bugs are introduced.

Newer is not ALWAYS better though, keep in mind that some places still use Windows XP, by choice. Most of its bugs are ironed out.

I'll only say this.... I hope your info is right. But Verizon cs reps have told many people similar statements as far back as January.

That being said, I really doubt it. They will probably release the next moto phone with ICS on it, then give us ICS. Its wrong, and i hope that I'm wrong. But we'll see.

Part of me is hoping you're right, at least if we're getting it in the next week. I doubt ICS will fix many of the problems I've found w/ the Razr & I'm ready to send back the Razr they just sent me just 1 week ago. Well maybe 3rd time will be the charm, but given the build quality of this refurbished replacement for original one I'm how bad the next one will be, plus there's still a lot of problems I've heard others have had that I haven't yet so I'm sure I'll get some of those on the next one.

I have been going between my razr and nexus I like the nexus better wish they would come out with update to improve the battery life maybe the razr will be as good with the ics update

Well... I did have outstanding battery life on my Razr from day one. But after receiving the current firmware update, my battery life has been failing miserably. Hopefully the rumors of ICS having better battery life are true.
