    Losing music player playlists

I keep losing my music playlists on my razr maxx. The playlist folders seem to be present, but is empty of the songs I dragged and dropped there. Very frustrating in view of the "one-song-at-a-time" method of creating playlists with the stock music player. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to solve this problem?
