    block a contact??

    Does anyone know how to block a contact from calling me???
    Used to be able to do it with my DROID 2 with gingerbread...

    There are plenty apps in the play store but to be honest never used any of them. You can have the contact go straight to VM..open up contact--> hit menu button and there is a setting to go to VM...but then you have to listen and delete the unwanted contact message...

    A lot of the times if you long press on that persons call, or maybe even contact, there is a "Add to Blacklist" option.

    Why not just block the number through My Verizon? I'm almost positive you get 5 free numbers to block.

    You get 5 for free but they only last for 90 days and then you have to re-enter them and the 90 days starts from the first entry; not 90 days for each. More non-expiring blocking is available through Verizon, but at a monthly cost of $4.99/mo if I remember correctly. It's less expensive to get an app to block calls if you need more than 5 numbers blocked or don't want to re-enter them periodically.

    I just use Call Blocker from the app store. I used to get a call from this stupid telemarketer every morning around 9:30-10am. I don't know if the app worked or my complaint to the BBB.

    Just saw a "Whats New"note today at the play store for AVG Free antivirus, that they added a feature to block calls and texts.
