Thank you!
Interesting development...maybe. I thought in the past, the official Moto website said Razr/Razr Maxx will be upgraded to JB starting in Q1 2013. Now it just says:
DROID RAZR (XT912) ICS (Android 4.0.4) rollout began in June 2012. Will be upgraded to Jelly Bean (Android 4.1) DROID RAZR MAXX (XT912) ICS (Android 4.0.4) rollout began in June 2012. Will be upgraded to Jelly Bean (Android 4.1)
Maybe I'm hallucinating (in that case, those mushrooms last night were really good) and it never said Q1 on that website. Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. Obviously, if Moto changed the schedule from Q1 to "will be upgraded", it seems like they are pushing it back further.
Pretty sure it never said Q1. I do however remember someone from Motorola posting in their forums that it would be Q1.
The Moto website never said Q1 of 2013. The representatives who run Motorola's Facebook page said that.
That's good. I thought I remember seeing it on their official update schedule as Q1, but I could be wrong. I hope they are still on schedule for Q1 or a lot of people will really get their underwear all up in a bundle. I, personally don't care too much. ICS seems to be working just fine for me.
They've been saying Q1 of 2013 on Twitter as well as Facebook.
Q1 in Motorola definition equates to January - July. So who knows :P
On Google+ I also received a reply from Motorola Mobility that the update would come out Q1 2013 but could not specify more than that.

A soak test has begun in the southeast.
It has nothing to do with Motorola or android in general, except that unusually high use of these device's weather reporting capabilities are and will likely will continue for the next few days.
Sorry, I couldn't help myself.
