Car Dock Or Vehicle Dock Issue

Am I the only one whose OEM car dock or vehicle dock does not allow the screen to stay on? Even when I choose the Developer Options -> keep screen lit when charging the screen goes off after the max allowance minutes...

What setting am I missing?

I use car home ultra, works great and can everything I want.

I have not had that problem, however when I place it in the dock I do not get the speaker to work, take it out and it is fine. I have, like you on your probkem, tried all the settings that I can with no luck.

Car Ultra Home is a great app, I used it on my Droid 2. There is a setting to keep the screen on while charging, and the screen never timed out during an 8 hour road trip.
