    evbridge

I have something called evbridge that is using 40% of my battery. Anyone know what this is or how to stop it?

I found this in the Moto forums....

Hi All,Again thanks for using Motorola products and your interest in Webtop and the Lapdocks. There is a similar thread on this here: https://forums.motorola.com/posts/abcac5cec2
We do have a workaround which is as follows
    :
    1. Turn off Automatic Date/Time/Timezone settings.

    2. Change to a time zone that does not match your own.

    3. Reboot the phone.

    4. Change to your preferred time zone, do NOT enable Automatic Date/Time/Timezone
    .
    5. Launch WebtopYou should now be free of the evbridge deadloop/current drain issue as long as you don't re-enable the Auto settings.

We are working on a fix, at this time we cannot say whether or not it will be in the next maintenance release but there will be an update to Webtop which will have it fixed.
    Kind Regards,Peter

Unfortunately disabling automatic date/time will cause the clock to drift, and after about a week, you won't be able to connect to 3G or 4G. A simple reboot does not work either. Clearing the system cache using instructions below will work. After you do that, do not use your lapdock or webtop again, unless you reset cache after every use.

    Turn phone off.

While off, press and hold both volume keys and power on phone.

Press volume key down to highlight recovery and then press volume key up to boot into recovery. Then you will see android icon with triangle.

    Press both volume keys.

Choose clear cache partition using down volume and press power button to clear cache.

Highlight reboot / restart and press power and your phone will reboot.
