Hi, can you play it on your my music app? If so click and hold it down and you should see a choice to make it a ring tone. If you can even play it then first convert it to mp3 then put that file on your phone and do what I said above.

Hi Evan;
Yes, I can play it on My Music app. If I click on it, I don't get a message to add it to my ringtones.
I do this on the OG Droid and Bionic. Connect the phone by USB to a PC. The file manager should open up. Look for a Media folder and it Ringtones folder. Put it in the ring tones folder. Disconnect from the PC. Change to that ringtone as you Normaly do
Droid does some cool and amazing things. Yet it does not do some basic stuff that has been stock on most phones for years. It makes me think the Google developers were marooned in some kind of a 1977 LOST flashback/flashforward/sideways combo reality gameshow

Unfortunately this doesn't work either. But thanks for the suggestion.
O.K., I have something that works: Ringdroid. It's small (365 k), simple, free, and it worked. It got the WAV ringtone on my Razr Maxx.
