Jeeze it caught on my shirt while putting it in my holster and popped out and hit flat face down and spider webbed the glass. It was on sand!

Ouch, it broke on sand? That's odd. When I think of sand, soft dunes come to mind. I can't see a phone breaking on that.

I recently bought 2 of these one for me and one for the wife's phone. Good quality at a decent price. My wife has dropped hers a dozen times and not a scratch has shown up.

That or you can get some landing gear installed on your phone. I think the case is cheaper.. lol

By the way the OP said "killed ANOTHER one", i'd recommend the Defender over the Commuter. Allows me to use my Bionic as a projectile, safely.

^^^^^ Well, where there's sand, there's usually crap buried in sand. Could have been a hidden rock or something that took the screen out.

I think you're right, when I checked out the screen I found one star crack where I think a rock did it in.

I have a two good cases, (Defender, and Verizon basket weave) and I've dropped without damage several times. Just goes to show ya, smoking can ruin your health. Or is it no matter where you go there you are.

I've only killed two, one by water, and one by sand.
