The build is great, the battery is great, the screen (while not quite as bright as the S3's) is spectacular, I personally like the Motorola interface better than Samsung's, I haven't dropped a single call yet (dropped 3 in the short time I owned the S3)....... In short, I heart my Maxx HD and am VERY glad I traded the S3 in for it. And to those that own the S3, I'm not ragging on your phone, it just wasn't the right fit for my needs.Originally Posted by dan.dar
I also had the S3 for almost two weeks and I constantly dropped calls and lost signal. It was so bad I had to get a different phone. I now own the Razr HD and it's signal is 100% better in the same areas!!
The S3 had a better camera and is a great "tablet" but it's very unreliable as a phone. Even the personal at Verizon warned me that the phone was a very weak signal reception.
People concerned with the camera on the HD. From the reviews i have read and youtubes video's Jelly Bean appears to fix all the camera problems and some other things i have seen people complaining about. Heard it will help with even longer battery life too. Search about jelly bean updates to find whats new.
here are some reviews of Jelly bean. I apologize i could have sworn i watched or read a review that talked about the camera software helping with low light. But as i review these again i can't find it. Just newer features, responding faster and sphere capture. If i come across it again i will definitely post it.

I think that if you can't decide between the Galaxy S3 and the Maxx HD then the HTC One X+ is perfect for you. It's benchmarks are higher than the S3. Plus the CAMERA is better but only because of some extra feature though. Finally it has the great look from the skin that you RAZR lovers will enjoy.

I was in a Verizon store on Saturday and was fiddling around with an S3. Another customer comes up to me while holding his S3 and starts praising it. "I just got this two days ago and man, is it cool. I can use voice commands to send a text or look up things on the internet using my voice." And he then proceeds to demonstrate it. I'm aware of these capabilities and am not impressed. My D2G can do that as well, and it's two years old. He then tries to have S-Voice look up the weather (it works) and then asks, "How tall is Michael Jordan?" (fail) He then says something that explains his total amazement with the S3--"Yeah, I used to have a Blackberry but it couldn't do any of this stuff." I'm kind of chuckling inside and am now completely understanding his glee with his new phone.
I don't care what it is, when it has an LCD screen, it makes it better.
