I think it will because it seems everything is starting to come with it and Google is still pushing it. Since the Razr HD is definitely going to be a high end phone Moto will feel a need to include it. I don't think Motorola has released any phones that have NFC.

To me NFC seems to be a useless technology and I'd much rather see engineers spending time on things like battery life or performance. I would not mind one bit if the Razr HD doesn't have it. I don't think any stores near me use it. If I used a mass transit system and it took NFC I guess that would be very cool but I just have no use for it and think it's a waste. I'll be interested when every store I go to accepts it or I can at least use it to buy gas.

I'm curious, what do you want it for? Do you use it now? If so what for and is it actually faster than using your credit card?

No I don't use it right now but many stores in the NYC area where I live and work such as Duane Reade are starting to accept Google Wallet payments so I thought it might be nice to start using it. Assuming that I'm going to keep my next phone for at least a year then I'd like my next phone to have it but it's not really a necessity. I do think it will be faster than a credit card payment since it's contactless. If you've ever used or seen people use metrocards on the NYC subway system then you know that having to swipe your card multiple times can slow you down.

Which means we could end up losing some awesome classic apps to overzealous OS development. Just my thoughts.

    Makes sense

It sounds like NFC could be very useful where you are. Where I live, I get behind Amish buggies on the way to work so I guess that's the problem. We do have LTE coverage though. I've just been really dissapointed at how slowly the NFC rollout seems to be going. Who knows, maybe sometime soon I'll start seeing places in this area use NFC for payment.

I would be very surprised if the Razr HD doesn't have it.

I hope it doesn't have nfc. Just another way for people to steal your info.

I'm sure that there are plenty of safety precautions taken by Google with this.

But there's always someone waiting.to exploit something so i can understand your concern

Sorry but you will be waiting at least another 2 months until Verizon even announces it. and then Verizon will miss the release date probably 2 or 3 times. And by that time jelly bean will be out and this phone will all ready be surpassed before it even launches in the states
