Just try leaving the phone powered off and plug it into wall charger. See if a battery icon pops up on the screen. If nothing happens just punch the power button quick(don't hold it down). See if it will pop up a charging icon.

It absolutely will not charge in any other state than with a correctly working system.
Best thing is to peel off the back, locate the + and - screws. Take an old moto chareg cord, cut and splice the end to reveal the red and black
Lines. Take some sort of black electrical tape and tape black line to negative post, red to positive. Let it sit, 30 or more minutes. I have done
This several times with my Razr.
Not true. I just did this a couple days ago.
1. Press and hold vol down and power, when the screen flickers, release buttons and quickly press all 3 side buttons (power, vol up, vol down)
2. Plug in the wall charger (not usb)
3. Use vol down to highlight the SBF Flash Option
4. Use vol up to select it
5. Press and hold the power button for about 3 seconds then release.
Now the phone should power down completely after a couple seconds and begin charging (you should see the battery charging icon). If it doesn't work the first time just keep trying, took me a couple tries before it started charging but it worked. It also helps to boot into the stock recovery and do a factory reset first. It works though.
That is one awesome way to fully power down a phone that is bootlooping or otherwise unable to power down normally. Since the "battery pull" technique actually causes a reboot, it often just repeats the problem over and over.
Also being able to get to the Boot Mode Selection Menu and gain access to AP Fastboot is great for people who are stuck in a mess and can't get to it the normal way.
I will be keeping this advice in my archives and referring to it for others to benefit from. I just tried it to see if it works and it was 100% successful the very first time I tried.
One very cool new technique. Thanks!

Battery logo with a question mark is an indication of a battery that is either to deeply discharged or is no longer able to take a charge, or is counterfeit battery (which is of course not the case with your phone).
You will need to keep trying or you may have to improvise with a self-crafted factory charge cable.

Hey exact same thing happened to me except I had no operating system on my phone at all (it was bad) I fixed it without charging or skrewing with the phone, do you still need help? (Its relatively easy to do all you do is make the phone think it has battery)
If you need help just reply
