About LinkBacksI finally decided to take the plunge and root my RAZR. I have already Downloaded SQLite and have enabled wireless hotspot. What else can I do? What are the neato things that rooting will allow me?

11-23-2011 08:11 PMFreeze bloatware (kindle, video surf, vzw navigation, etc.), make backups with CWR, backup your apps and settings with titanium backup so you don't have to set them all back up after a rom flash etc, flash roms (not yet available but coming soon) and hopefully under/overclock (again not yet available) just for starters.

11-28-2011 03:34 PMBoot into recovery with razr bootstrapper. Then go to backup restore and select back up. It will back up to your sdcard-ext under clockworkmod.

I hear it is still experimental. Did someone unlock it or is it a workaround?

11-28-2011 09:38 PMI have had about 4 og droids, 5 d2s, a charge 4g, bionic, and am now very satisfied with the Razr. When I had the first few droids and Droid 2's I followed the directions to the t on installing custom ROMs and always had issues...hence so many devices. I think I may just wait until I can over clock and leave the rest semi-stock. May give the hotspot work around though, would be useful on family trips. Thanks for the info! If I do the tether work around, will the usage appear on my bill? I've also read that certain websites don't display after the work around, is this normal or did the people just not read the destructions right?
