How do you stop vz nav from auto starting when you put the phone in the car dock razer

Disable it in "Manage My Apps" Quick way to get there is go from the options or settings button (three lines on lower left corner). Select manage apps. From there, look for the vz navigation app and select disable. You may have uninstall any updates first before you can select disable.

You can also disable the entire Dock layout. The one you want to disable is "Vehicle mode".
