Too bad HD Dock doesn't work with cases...

I have a Maxx, and I purchased the HD Dock yesterday. While at the store, I made sure that my phone would fit into the dock with my Diztronic TPU case on it. And it did; it fit quite well.

When I got home and plugged everything in, I discovered that the pins/connectors on the dock won't go far enough into the phone with the case on it. What a bummer! I was really looking forward to the dock to be used on my nightstand. I don't see any way to make this work though, as the connectors are solidly attached and can't be extended. And I HATE having to constantly remove my case, so that won't work for me either.

Am I missing something, or is this just the way it is?

I ran into this issue also. You have two options. Modify the case or the dock. I choose neither and went for the Incipio feather case and love it. Fits the home dock and car dock with no mods.
