DO NOT INSTALL THE BOOTSTRAPPER ONCE YOU HAVE INSTALLED CYANOGENMOD; DOING SO WILL MAKE YOU HANG AT THE M LOGO AND YOU WILL NEED SO SBF. THESE CYANOGENMOD BUILDS HAVE CLOCKWORKMOD BUILT IN SO ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS HOLD THE POWER BUTTON, SELECT REBOOT AND CHOOSE RECOVERY AND PRESS OK
Newest build: 1125G.zip
1629d36366f3e37a1462def8381542c5 1125G.zip
AS OF 11/25 ***TORCH IS NOT WORKING FOR SOME REASON, WILL LOOK INTO WHY*** I would try another Torch app to see if that works
If you have a previous version of CM7 on your phone just place this zip on the SDCARD, reboot into recovery, choose zip from SDCARD, and select 1125G.zip then wipe the cache and reboot
From now on, the Droid Pro Cyanogenmod 7 builds that I will post will forever need to be installed on top of the Official Gingerbread build (4.6.8). I'm doing this so we all have the newest radio file and kernel to standardize all of our systems so bugs do not only occur if you have an outdated setup file or whatnot.
The Official Motorola Droid Pro Gingerbread update (version 4.6.8) must be flashed on top of the Froyo build number 3.8.7. The quickest way to get there is to SBF. The link to the SBF is here.
The link to the Official Gingerbread update is here.
It must be renamed to update.zip and placed on your SD card and flashed through the STOCK RECOVERY, NOT CLOCKWORK. The update may not install if your system is rooted. So it's best to update to Gingerbread from a fresh SBF of 3.8.7 in order to avoid problems.
After updating to the latest Official Gingerbread build, in order to install the Cyanogenmod ROM for the time, you must:
Download the latest build and put it on your SD card
Root using the one click root for the Motorola GB builds
Install the Droid 2 Bootstrap
Reboot into recovery
Go to mounts and storage, and wipe system, data, and cache
Go back and choose install zip from SD card
Install zip
Reboot and enjoy
If you are a CDMA user and have data issues where you connect to wifi but cannot browse the web or your apps cannot connect to the internet:
Open the app called Terminal Emulator
type what it says below, pressing enter after every statement:
cd system
cd bin
su
fixdataswitch
As for GSM users, there may still be this issue where switching from 3G to Wifi won't allow data to go through
It is recommended that you only reboot your phone or power off your phone only after turning off wifi. Your settings may not "stick" properly if your wifi is turned on during a system boot.
If you have issues where you press a checkmark on the settings and the setting doesn't remain as you intend for it to, you should go to the Rom Manager app and click Fix Permissions and reboot when it's done. If that doesn't work, reboot into recovery and go to advanced and click Wipe Dalvik Cache and reboot.
If you are simply updating your phone with a newer build, you can just put the .zip file on your sdcard, reboot into recovery, choose install zip from sdcard, and navigate to the newest build, and install. After finished, you should wipe your cache, and reboot.
