Help With Rom Flashing

So the droid pro is my first android phone (its coming in the mail tomorrow), and I want to put on a different rom. I was just wondering if i were to go with cm7 or cm9 how would i go about flashing the rom. Of course i'd have to root first. Can someone just give me the steps in detail, because all other tutorials i have found have been too brief. A video would be much appreciated.
