The state of affair is looking good everyone.
Looks like someone has finally figured out how to 2nd-boot (means: running your own's kernel). Someone else figured out how to write a wrapper around the camera... Just need time for them to make the workaround perfect.
Just to confirm,
there isn't a ICS based ROM at a fully working state yet. (camera and GSM only and this effects both EU and USA versions of the phone. The only realy difference for the USA version is the addition of CDMA?)
There's a lot of threads but this appears to be my conclusion as of May 2012.
As for kernels, not sure at all which is the latest.
I guess the best we can do is a GummyBear (GB) ROM ...which I think the best is Apex? http://www.droidforums.net/forum/dro...11-2011-a.html
These boards are terribly messy. You can't tell which is the latest ROM and the threads are massive and can't be viewed on one page...
It's pretty easy to tell which ones are the more recent ROMs if you would take a second to look at the context clues. The last post in this thread before you was back in February. It says right there in the link title that the Apex ROM is from October of last year. The last post in the CM9 ROM thread was yesterday. The Gummy ROM thread was started on the 17th of April, and the last post was on Monday. This is all information acquired from the page that lists the threads. I didn't even have to open the threads to get these clues.
Come on...at least put some effort into figuring things out before you make posts. It's one thing to be a noob to flashing and all that, but anybody with basic reading comprehension skills could have figured out that this ROM isn't the most recent one, or that Apex isn't even an ICS ROM.
