I may have just fixed it. I don't wanna get anybody's hopes up, but I was able to reboot my phone, and was able to pick items in the settings menu without the settings sticking, and then was able to switch from 3G to Wifi and vice versa without any problems. As far as I know, this has never happened before since we hopped up to the gingerbread kernel so the fix might be real

Promising news! I removed what I did to fix the data switching issue, rebooted, and the data wouldn't switch. Then I re-added what I did to fix the data switching, rebooted and it works! I can't think of any other variable that would cause this. All of this happened with the sticky settings being fixed from like six reboots ago meaning it stuck the entire time as I checked it every time. It looks like instead of having to pick between the lesser of two evils, we get the best of both worlds! Cheers I'm thinking of a way you guys could do this on your phones (you don't need a whole new rom, just a file that's a few kilobytes
