Uneven Backlighting?

This is a discussion on Uneven Backlighting? within the Droid Polls forums, part of the Droid News category; Lighting is even, I just wish I could keep the Back, Menu, Home and Search keys lit whenever the screen is lit....

    A fix has been found for whoever this bothers. Root the Droid. Install the Softbuttons hack that is found in the market (direct link is http://bit.ly/5xIKTf). This will remove the backlight from those four soft buttons. Problem solved.

    Hope this helps anyone that wants to get rid of the light on those buttons.

    My back key is like... yellow. The rest are bright white.

    My menu and search buttons are brighter then the others. I never noticed until I saw this post. They are all bright enough that it doesn't cause a problem for me. It is interesting though.
