That's what I'm hoping, who knows, maybe Motorola will roll out a newer Droid 2 / X when LTE comes out, if they don't have another flagship phone. I doubt it though.

Next phone I try will be without a physical keyboard. I use Swype almost exclusively now.

Phone:Moto Droid

Probably me. Every time a new phone comes out I think of getting it, but considering how much I've done on this phone, it will probably be in my collection of machines forever.
Motorola Droid FRG83G 1.00GHz_LV_V0.2
As my first smart phone I was excited at the possibility of combining phone, ipod, and camera into one device to carry around. It hasn't totally replaced the ipod, and while I do use it for daytime pics it definitely has not replaced the camera either, but it works in a pinch.
Forever is a long time. My pockets are also only so big. Eventually Android will progress to the point where the current version just won't run on the phone. I probably won't upgrade until next summer, but I expect something will be rootable then. Even so I'll keep the droid, just don't know how much use it will get.

If you apply a rom or theme - backup first!
If you don't know how to backup...Stop until you do.
hint: I name my backups like this: sg6.0_20100428 or ss4.2_20100626 to easily find them later. rom and date.

Too many memories with it. Thank to this device I forgot what is watch tv relax at home. Always messing with new roms, new themes...etc So far is the best phone a ever had!!!! Keeping it!
Just got this at end of March, wife got the Incredible. I love this phone, as long as it holds out I will keep it. I like a physical keyboard over a onscreen keyboard. Thats why I chose it over the Incredible.
running Sapphire 0.8.4 w/1ghz kernel I got speed and stability and working on my own theme to make it perfect, to make it mine.
I'm selling mine to help pay for a new Hangun....Woot!
A gun in the hand is better than a cop on the phone.

I have seen other then rumors that even the beginning of LTE will start in November. What I know for fact is that it is suppose to start in early 2011 with a 3 year completion date.
Either way before LTE is completely available it will take some time. Just something to think about.
