Very frustrated with my Blackberry Tour right now. The ball is flakey 99% of the time and I'm about due for a cell phone that's more open...

I guess that's why the new "Bold/9700" is replacing it with a tiny "trackpad"

Just out of curiousity, since your with AT&T anyway, was there a reason you didn't want the iphone?

One of the major complaints by iPhone people is the AT&T network (and their billing, support, etc) but Verizon has a good reputation... so I can see switching carriers.

Yes the network is just ok, and to answer the Iphone question...I grew up with apple in school, I had to use them till my last day senior year, I hate them more than mel gibson hates the Jews. I even bought into the fad and got an ipod, it crashed my computer. I took it back and they gave me a replacement and like an idiot I fixed my computer and the ipod crashed it again...I took the computer and the ipod to a computer expert and he told me after two days of working on it that it was infact the ipod. Needless to say I took it back and demanded a full refund. Also every time I use an apple at school I could never log into the computer and then if I could get into it I would stat working and it would shut down for no reason and delete everything I had been working on.

So as you can see I hate apple and would low to see steve jobs fail at everything he does and see apple go bankrupt. I have loved Google since the very beginning I use most of the services they offer, and since I now have Google Voice I really want this phone so I can use that app.

Ok I see to have gone on a rant...sorry about that.

Damn, sounds like you've had some really bad experiences. For the most part, I love my Apple gear. I don't like the direction they've been going in lately locking everyone in and I'm not a fan of the iPhone since it does not have a physical keyboard.

I do own 2 Apple Laptops, 1 Apple desktop and 4 iPods though

Haha,I currently have an iPhone and have been happy with it and even the AT&T service has been good. I was mad it took so long to get a basic feature such as MMS and tethering is still not available. However, I think that power of Android v2 will surpass the iPhone OS and developers will get behind it.

Although with Verizon pushing the droid phones so hard it makes me wonder if they will offer the iPhone next year? The last rumors I heard indicated Verizon will carry the iPhone next year, but now I'm starting to wonder. It would seem akward to bash the iPhone with the new droid commercials and end up selling it down the road..

Maybe they won't need to sell it after the DROID phones become popular and they can give Apple the finger

Or maybe the iPhone is a backup plan. If the Droid doesn't sell well they will get the iPhone anyway. Customers have short memories, they'll forget the iPhone bashing in 2 months
