That's what I did, although Flash still doesn't show up in the Market for some reason. The version I have is

    Baseband version: C_01.43.01P

    Kernel version: 2.6.32.9-g874c292
    andriod-build@apa26 #1

    Build number: FRG22D

Clearing the cache in the Market didn't help. While I do have a version that I installed manually, AppBrain is telling me there's an update, but it can't find it either.
I figured it out. I had to uninstall the version I had installed manually and powered off. When I powered back on and went to the Market, Flash was there.

In addition I cleared the cache again, but I figure the big difference was uninstalling Flash.

Seems snappier, even Gallery which was super slow. Also I haven't had any trouble moving apps to SD, where before I had to try at least twice per app.

I have since been told that Flash can take up to an hour before showing up in the Market, so it was probably a coincidence that I uninstalled a hour or so after I rebooted. Oh well, at least it worked.

    Killed my exchange access

Great forum. Got the update this morning and it killed my OWA exchange access. It Forces Close every time I try to set up the incoming settings. Called Verizon and they were "surprised" even though it's all over the web that the update is causing exchange problems. I'm taking it to the store tomorrow to have the update undone. Hope it works, it's a big part of why I have this phone.

Got the update today, immediately after OTA update, I went to Market and low and behold, there Flash 10.1 was. Just setting there on the top of that list, it's arms crossed and just whistling the tune to that song, "Cowboy, take me away." and by damn I did. So far, this second Froyo update has seemed to speed up my phone, it has been running sluggish since the original Froyo update. Okay, I'm off to take Flash for spin.

Well, it's 9/4 and my wife still has not received FRG22D. I keep telling her to install but she's so happy with FRG01B she wants to wait.

I haven't gotten the update on my Droid yet either. And it's tough for me to download it because I have a Mac.

haven't gotten mine yet either, but the way i got the 2.2 was pretty cool.
i was in anatomy lecture (med school) on the 19th and the speaker above me started making staticy noises and going haywire. the professor asked what was going on and why that was happening, and someone in the back said that it was normally due to phones. i then take out my phone and it showed me on the screen that the update was available. pretty damn cool.
