    Its official straight from matt on the Motorola owners forums!

    Here is what he said

    I'm happy to report that Verizon Wireless will start pushing Android 2.2 (Froyo) to the original Droid by Motorola during the week of August 2.

    Although I can't confirm it yet, I would not be surprised if there were a push to some small number of users as a pre-launch test as early as tonight...

    I think it's the green droid guy that pops up now, when you plug into usb and then turns orange wants you activate mass storage.

    OMFG that is very annoying to me as well.
    That's one of the first annoyances I noticed with FroYo.

    Ok guys this just came down to me from VZW a few minutes ago......

    Droid is getting updated on August 3rd on a staggared release. So for those who are waiting the wait is almost over

    Actually right on schedule for the most part. I expect we will see downloads for a week or so from the 3rd to the 10th

    Droid Incredible users are NOt I repeat are NOt on the update list this week
