Reset to factory requires that the phone be shut off completely, then hold the x button down then pressing and holding the power buttion, and don't release either until you see an exclamation mark on your screen. At that point hold the volume up and tap the camera button. This will get you to the recovery screen where you can perform a full factory reset/wipe.

nice job! Did you download Helix2 or Helix. Helix works fine...Helix 2 was the FC loop for me.

Helix 2 will only work on ere25 or older builds. I think we should make this clear somewhere. Maybe Rintin can edit his original post. Ese53 has to use the regular helix launcher.

so non-rooted (i.e. ESD56) will NOT work with helix 2 correct? that's what's causing the FC loop? stick with helix 1 and its not a problem?

@Mamba94 thank you for your response... after what seemed like days of searching for a solution to this problem i think i have it fixed. i really didn't know the correct terminology i needed to use to ask the questions necessary to fix my droid...

That sounds correct. I haven't been stock and don't intend to be to test this. But you are on the right track. Try it out and see how it goes! haha

I was getting FC's on HelixLauncher2, but I'm using an ESE53 based ROM, so that could be why.

But to stop the FC's, I just connected through ADB (adb shell) and manually removed HelixLauncher2 (busybox rm /data/app/com.helixproject.launcher2.apk).

If you don't have busybox installed, I guess you could alternatively run:
adb uninstall com.helixproject.launcher2

After doing so, the looping FC's go away.

just installed helix launcher (not 2) and stayed with the 3 screens. i changed to 5 screens and started to get some FC's. its been 15 min. and no FC's. keeping fingers crossed.

Someone check for me, because I dont remember in this or launcher2, but when rotating this helix to landscape, my backround image rotates, but it seems I get the upper half so to speak, like it isn't centered vertically.

Can anyone else compare notes on this?

not a big thin overall, but perhaps a bug that can be submitted.

I love the thing overall, went down to 5 screens from 7, as I hadn't even filled up 3 yet ... Nice that it is customizable like that.

Unrooted 2.0.1 and works fine. The only issue I had is when I first installed it the app tray scrolled really slow. As soon as I got to the bottom and scrolled back up it was fine. Gonna hold off redoing all of my icons on this home until I see that it is gonna work ok and be stable.

i have a rooted droid with helix 1...i downloaded seeds of life and its not anywhere to be found. i uninstalled it and reinstalled it and still nothing... how do i select live wallpapers?
