I'm unrooted and I downloaded Helix and really liked it for the first few days.

I've tried home++, launcer, sweeterhome, etc...and they all we're slightly buggy and I couldn't stand it (OCD).

Helix is definitely the LEAST laggy of all the replacement home's, but it is NOT perfect.

Beautiful Widgets will sometimes blink off before showing up when I go to my main home screen, and flicking from screen to screen isn't as smooth as stock home.

Oh well...I'll just wait to 2.1 and just pray that we'll get more than 3 screens.

Dont ever accidently choose 1 screen for helix as it will put you in a non recoverable FC loop.

Gremlin just put the shortcut on your screen and then drag and drop it to the bar on the bottom.

I had the same problem...don't try the widget shortcut...

open the menu and scroll down till you see the handcent icon, then push and hold that icon and drag it to your desktop first, then drag it down there...that's how i did it. hope that helps!

Im enjoying helix. Ive had very little problems with it. The occasional lag, but that is here and there. No FC errors for me, and I have been running our for awhile now.

Ok I'm having a brain fart. How do I set Helix as my default home so I don't have to keep choosing every time I hit the home button. I know but for the life of me am drawing a blank.

Next time it asks you which home app you want to use, check off the box that says to use it as your default.

SG6.0, OC'd at 1.1 ghz. Been using this a while now. Helix runs great, no lag, very responsive. Helix2 sent me into a FC'ing looping frenzy. I did not uninstall Helix before trying Helix2 and they both showed on my launcher. Not sure if that was the conflict but I uninstalled Helix2.

Like most good things this app just suddenly showed up. I wonder what next week will bring

Has anyone been able to get Helix 2 to work with Adamz's rom. I'm currently running Bugless Beast and I want to switch to Adamz's rom, but Helix 2 was FC on my.

If it doesn't, is it possible to get the 3d app tray to work with it.

Just for clarification so I don't mess things up...

When you folks say clear off all widgets and app icons, do you mean from the default launcher before you install Helix?

If I install Helix now and it turns out the update will have additional screens will anything get screwed up?
