HTC keyboard on DROID -non-root-

They are releasing versions so fast I guess I may as well wait since it works pretty perfectly.

Is it worth upgrading? Mine works very well.

How does this compare to the IPhone keyboard?

FYI: there is now a version out that is two versions newer. The readme file in the zip has the main URL from the developer about this, and it has links to all the versions, and presumably, links to any new versions that may come out.

Okay I need some help here, I cannot get this thing to accept what I'm typing for anything. If I try to text at a regular speed it doesn't put in a single character of what I typed and force close. Any suggestions?

Is there a way to get an ALT key to show, so I can easily access the punctuation above letters? I looked but can't see a way of doing this. Press and hold to get the alternate character seems cumbersome. The predictive text obviously helps though.

I like this keyboard a lot. But the thing I notice most is that the voice to text function works much better than what I was using (Talk to Me Keyboard). Does this use a different voice to text engine or ??

That key is available, except it's not labeled as "ALT"...

It's the 12# key next to the return key towards the bottom right of the keyboard.

Then once you're in that "ALT / 12#" keyboard, you can access additional characters by pressing the 1/2 key on the left side of the spacebar key.

To get back to your alpha keyboard, press ABC key next to the return key towards the left side of the keyboard.
