2.1 on the DROID - an early view

We have discovered some video of what we think is a final version of 2.1 running on the Moto Droid. Check it out for yourself over here:droid life: a motorola droid blog

As rumored, 3D Launcer, Live Wall Paper are not included however it may still have the ability to run live wall paper. It's running smoother and quicker then 2.0.1. Really looks like a great update.

In addition to the video we also see on the same page that Flash 10.1 is confirmed for the N1 and Droid only. This is great news for Droid owners, it means we are one step closer to getting both 2.1 and Flash soon but they may come bundled. We will have to wait and see.

a google insider in a german android forum confirmed that 2.1 WILL include the launcher, WILL include live wallparers, WILL have 3/5/9 homescreens

There is also a way to flash it to your device... I am trying to get the links set up and the instructions for the install up

awesome can't wait....i unrooted because my screen was staying black when i was getting called and i kept missing calls so I am really looking forward to this.....I really am hoping for at least 5 screens too...

Awesome, glad to hear at least something however...

I will be sticking to my Live Wallpaper, 1gHZ DroidMod ROM until they port that over to 2.1

The live wallpaper isn't important to me, but having 5 homescreens automatically would have been nice, along with the home button and icons.

Everyone.. it has 3, 5, 9 screens.. its says so in the first post...

And anyone working on unrooting this yet? haha.. I', kinda in love with my wifi tethering.. =/ .. and i remember hearing that an fm transmitter is in the works which would be epically awesome...

That's awesome, I will definitely be updating, I'm fine with using my PDAnet instead of wifi tethering.
