Handbrake rips DVDs and converts them to whatever format you need...

OK, thanks, I though I had seen something when I was downloading or installing handbrake that said I needed something else to rip. But I will give this new one a go, especially if it's easy....I like easy

Nice answer, but I installed Linux to get rid of windows, I'm not going to reinstall it, even in a virtual machine ^^

But don't worry, if I find a nice Linux encoder, I'll post it (I didn't search for now).

What settings should I use? I've never ripped a movie and converted one before. I just bought District 9 and want to be able to watch it on my Droid tomorrow while I'm traveling. I bought the dvd.

Am I missing something, or does this not have a drop down for the Droid?

Great find RinTin. Thanks. I'm getting ready to redo all the computers on my network and was just debating what program to put for my video conversions (had been using handbrake and CloneDVD mobile). Looks like I can use this for both
You are right to be wary. There is much bullcrap. Be wary of me too, because I may be wrong. Make up your own mind after you evaluate all the evidence and the logic. - Mark Rippetoe
