You can lock it if you feel it's necessary. I'm not sure who Wozzy's source is, but his information is pretty inaccurate. As sgx said, full disclosure over at droidmod.org. We've got nothing to hide. As teddyearp can attest, we're responding to emails, and I make an effort to address common questions on the blog.

I think the only thing needing answered in this thread for most of us is this:
Is the EasyRoot app stolen code?
Now WozZy is claiming that his source in DM is affirming this statement. However, Camel and sgx have both came here and pretty much squashed that, so the burden of proof lies with WozZy at the moment. It would be nice to know who his source is, because there are a few non-dev's that are associated with the team but really just supporting fans. This would include Ronen, TheDeathly, DLister, pthance, radar3d, etc. I would be willing to bet it was supporting cast and not the developers themselves, which would make it more hearsay and conjecture than anything, because by the sound of it, Camel and crew just don't care at the moment. The problem here is that if the code is stolen, whether the DM team cares or not, their are a few in the community, myself included who do care. Unless WozZy steps up and gives us some new info though...I'm going to just assume EasyRoot is legit from this point. The timing may be suspect, but without more proof I'm really done with the rumor-mill.

Well, it has been posted twice that full disclosure is at droidmod.org and here is the important exerpt:
"The new version of DMUpdater uses a new method of rooting (popularized by Birdman for the Droid X) which actually takes advantage of a horrifyingly simple security hole in HotPlug. The “exploid” source code that was released to the world was released under the GPL license,"
Easy Root has three binary files in it with 'exploid' in the name. But since the source code is open source, it is not really stolen.
Would be REAL nice if WoZzy would step up to the plate in this thread, since he seems to like to be the clarion for all things DroidMod here at droidforums.

I guess this sums it up, GPL means no stolen code!
